Custom Sapphire Sourcing

Tell Us the Sapphire. We'll Go Find It.

Some of the best stones we handle never reach the website. If you are after a particular colour, size or cut, send us the brief. We walk it around our people in Ratnapura and come back with certified options, and you are never obliged to take any of them.

Made to Order, Not Off the Shelf

A custom Ceylon sapphire starts as a conversation, not a listing. You describe the stone. We take that brief to the cutters and dealers we buy from every week, and we keep looking until something genuinely fits your colour, carat, cut and budget. This is bespoke sourcing in the oldest sense of the word: one brief, one search, one stone, offered to one client.

The Process

How Custom Sapphire Sourcing Works

Send Us the Brief

Colour, carat range, cut, treatment preference and budget. It takes two minutes, and there is no account and no deposit.

We Search the Source

We take your brief to the pits, the morning markets and the cutting benches we work with in Ratnapura and Elahera.

You Review Real Candidates

We send photos, daylight video and preliminary grading for every candidate stone, usually within a week or two.

Certify & Deliver

Once you choose a stone, we complete certification with an independent lab (TGL, Guild or GIC) and ship it to you, insured and tracked.

Why Order a Bespoke Sapphire

“Not every fine stone we find enters the public collection. Some are sourced for one client, one request, at a time.”

No obligation to buy. Every option is presented with full certification before you decide.

Questions

Custom Sourcing FAQ

What to expect from our sapphire sourcing service.

How long does custom sourcing take?

Most briefs see their first candidate stones within a week or two. A made-to-order sapphire is still a found thing, though: rare requests, like fine unheated padparadscha or large clean stones, take longer. We tell you which kind yours is up front.

Is there a fee for the sourcing service?

No. Submitting a brief costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You pay only if you choose a stone.

What if I do not like any of the options you find?

You pass, and that is the end of it. We would rather show you nothing than something that misses the brief. We keep looking or close the request, your call.

Is there a minimum budget for custom sourcing?

There is no fixed minimum, but for smaller budgets the public collection is usually the better route. Certification and shipping costs eat the sourcing advantage on inexpensive stones.

Can I request a sapphire for an engagement ring on a deadline?

Yes. Tell us the date in the brief. We only take deadline requests we can actually meet, including the time for certification and insured shipping.
