I picked this one up because the colour sits right in that sweet spot between pink and purple, the kind of shade that shifts a little depending on the light it catches. That's the character I look for in a Ceylon pink sapphire, not a flat single note but something with a bit of argument in it.
At 0.51ct it's a small stone, but the pear cut earns an excellent grade for a reason. The proportions are clean at 5.74 x 4.28 x 2.99mm, the face-up spread is generous for the weight, and it's loupe clean, so there's nothing fighting the colour for your attention. Heated, as most fine sapphires are, which settled the tone without dulling the saturation.
This is a stone for someone who wants colour with personality rather than sheer size. Heat treatment here is used to refine the purplish pink colour and clarity that nature already gave the crystal, not to fake a colour that wasn't there.
