Sri Lanka produces the world's finest moonstone — and The Lunaire is proof. Its rolling blue adularescence moves across the surface like light across still water: never static, never the same stone twice. Cut as an oval cabochon to preserve maximum blue sheen. At 6.80 carats, it is a statement piece for any mounting.

The phenomenon is called adularescence — a soft inner light that drifts across the dome as the stone is tilted, the optical signature of moonstone's layered feldspar structure. In the finest Ceylon material that sheen runs distinctly blue, the most prized variety, and The Lunaire carries it across the full sweep of its surface.

The high cabochon dome is no accident: a flat cut would extinguish the effect, so the stone is shaped to gather and roll the light instead. Unheated as moonstone always is, and eye clean beneath the glow, it is documented on a GRS report confirming natural feldspar of Sri Lankan origin. At 6.80 carats it has true presence on the hand.

The Lunaire is offered loose, well suited to a bold cabochon ring or a pendant that lets it move in the light. To understand what sets the island's material apart, read our guide to Sri Lankan moonstone. To enquire, reach us on WhatsApp or through our custom sourcing service.
