Unheated — its color is entirely the earth's own work, confirmed with no indications of heating on the laboratory report.
Specifications
This 4.18-carat cushion-cut sapphire was recovered from the alluvial gem gravels of Ratnapura, Sri Lanka's storied "City of Gems." Its cornflower blue hue — the most coveted shade in the Ceylon sapphire tradition — is entirely natural, with no heat or other treatment applied.
The stone was cut by a third-generation lapidary in Ratnapura to preserve maximum carat weight while opening a broad, even face-up window. Eye-clean clarity and a lively, well-proportioned cushion cut give it exceptional brilliance across the table.
Accompanied by a GIA certificate confirming origin and the absence of treatment.
